I'm
I'm an Entrepreneur, Software Engineer and Solutions Architect who immensely cares about the design and quality of digital solutions. I want people to love using what I build, design, and deliver.
Over the last 6+ years I've immersed myself many areas of software engineering. I've done back-end, front-end, DevOps, technical project management, engineering team management and product design.
Give me a hat and I'll wear it.
Some facts about me
- πΏπ¦ Currently living in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.
- πΎ I grew up in a small farming community in the Southern Cape, called Heidelberg. My parents still live and farm there, and I visit them often. I've always considered that to be my home.
- π» My obsession with tech started early in my life. I used to have an iPod Touch 5th gen and would download every app from the top 100 list just to see how they work.
- ππΌββοΈ I'd rather be kitesurfing, lifting, cycling or running. You can check what I'm up to on Strava.
- π I love reading, and review most books I read on Goodreads. I think it's preposterous to have a favorite book.
- π¨πΌβπ³ I love cooking. So much so, that my wife and I have a cooking page where we infrequently post content.
- β½οΈ I'm an ardent sports enthusiast, particularly football and rugby. I enjoy Fantasy Premier League (FPL) so much, that I developed an app for better FPL point calculation.
