Founded Vertiqal to help South African businesses move from talking about AI to actually using it. We implement AI where it matters: building automations and internal tools, training teams to use them, and advising on strategy. The goal is to close the gap between hype and working systems.

Led an engineering team delivering 50+ API-first insurance products across multiple markets. Owned technical architecture, recruited and grew the team, and worked alongside Sales to win new business.

Built API-first insurance products on Root's platform, led client integrations, and developed middleware to extend the platform into third-party systems.

Started as an intern and stayed on full-time. Shipped websites, web apps, and e-commerce stores; ran hosting and uptime; sat in on sales meetings to learn how a small consultancy wins work.

What I studied, the things I've learnt.
Obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial) degree from the University of Stellenbosch. Received cum laude for my final year dissertation.
Matriculated with full exemption and A-aggregate. Subjects were Maths, Afrikaans (FHL), English (FAL), Science, Biology and Accounting.
